Bevin - Under 8 Online National Youth Chess Champion 2021

Young prodigy Bevin Yashel Batagoda of a British school in Colombo, who has been making waves in the youth chess arena for the last few years, sealed a significant victory recently clinching the CFSL Online Youth Rapid Chess Championship 2021 – Under 08 convincingly by scoring a total of 8.5 points out of possible 9 games by scoring wins against A. A Gayuth Dinhas Perera, Dehain Nethvidu Ovitigala, A.A SenuthThewsas Perera, K.A Mahima Nivisara Thewmin, G.R Chamikara Anuhas, A.A Sethun Senhas Perera, E.MMethuka Tharuk Ekanayaka and Hoedit De Ethan and got a draw in the 3rd with Hiruka Sandesh Perera. And Bevin has participated in Asian Schools Chess Championship in August 2021 and also participated in the online Western Asian chess championship 2021 as a champion of the Under 8 Online National Youth Chess Championship 2021.
