Ardra Won the championship in 2021 Under 8 girls’ youth online rapid chess competition 2021

Ardra won the under 8 girls’ youth online rapid chess championship 2021 which was organized by Chess Federation of Sri Lanka (CFSL) from September 14, 2021 to September 15, 2021. This event was triumphantly conducted during a tough time. The pace taken by the Chess Federation of Sri Lanka is highly appreciated.  

This year’s tournament consisted 152 players who joined from every part of Sri Lanka. And 8 rounds were played by each player during the game. All players were allowed to play each game with the chess clock with 15 minutes and 10 seconds of increment per player.

Karial Pradeepkumar Ardra, a student gaining her primary education at Sussex College Badulla claimed her second championship victory in a national competition. And it’s very proud to honor her remarkable achievement.

 

Earlier, In the “International Rating Chess Tournament” which was held from December 13, 2019 to December 17, 2019, she obtained her first championship victory in under 6 girls’ which was organized by the Kolonnawa Chess Club for CFSL & FIDE. On that exceptional moment she was registered in the official FIDE website under the ID number “29965462”. And it was Ardra’s first achievement in chess.

Ardra started learning from Mr. Charith Dilshan who is a devoted chess coach and has an international rating of 1550 in standard, 1550 in rapid and 1498 in blitz. (FIDE ID- 9920226)

At the Western Asian Youth Chess Championship 2021 – Under 8 girls, Ardra became 12th ranked by winning overall of 6 games out of 9. The result sheet is as follows,
